I would take the Kevin Youkilis and Prince Fielder if they were still available. If not, I'd take the Brewers franchise history.
Incidentally, this is a great way to lead up to opening day!
Hey Brooklyn Met- Thanks for tuning in. The Youk and Prince cards are yours. Send me an email at joe@openingdaycards.com with your address and I'll stick them in the mail today. Thanks for sticking with us to get pumped for Opening Day!
Could I have either the Mark Teieira or Jackie Robinson card, thanks for the cards and the nice show
Great episode guys, I think that these were the best packs yet, the reggie jackson was awesome, and that fielder celebration was really cool last year, cant wait for opening day! Hopefully im workin at it!
It's David--
You guys should stick to the Topps Packs. You seem to get much better cards with Topps. Just the other day I got that same Prince Fielder card and thought it was probably the best picture I've ever seen on any players card. If I were a Brewers fan I'd have a hard time parting with it. Could you guys send me the David Price and Curse of the Bambino card if they are available? If they aren't just let me know, there's a lot of great cards to pick from. I feel bad for the people missing out on these great giveaways.
Hey Thomas, thanks for tuning in. The Teixeira and Robinson cards are yours. Send me an email at joe@openingdaycards.com with your address and I'll ship them out to you tomorrow. Are you a Yankee fan? Don't worry, I won't tell Chris :)
Hey guys, good show and really good cards! Wish I had that kind of luck when I open up a pack! Has anyone asked for Reggie Jackson and Andre Etheir? That Jackie Robinson card is a winner too! Too bad someone already asked for it. That man is so important to baseball today. Breaking the color barrier was not easy feat. I read up on the man, he basically endured death threats for playing the game from spectators at the time. Not only that, he was harrased by many of the opposing players. He is someone to be admired for his tenacity.
That Prince Fielder card is a really cool card! The prissy Giants got all mad and like Joe said, they had Zito (of all Giants pitchers) retaliate by lobbing a floater over a Fielder during a spring training game some days ago. What a joke! Can't wait to see the Giants and Dodgers go at it this year! Go blue!
Hey Jesse- the Reggie Jackson and Andre Ethier are yours. I'll ship them out today. That Prince card is amazing, and I agree, the Giants are a bunch of sissies.
can i have the reggie jackson and or the prince card?
i agree with what someone said stick with topps
if you ever pull a blue jay im a huge blue jay fan living in canada
nvm they are both taken
are the victorino and tales of the game the curse of the bambino still availobe??
Hey Dan, thanks for tuning in. We'll ship you the Prince card and the Victorino. The Reggie and Bambino cards went like hotcakes!
I would love to have the texiera card. I think you have my info but info, email me at juliankingston2@gmail.com
Hey Julian, thanks for tuning in. The Teixeira card is taken. For some reason it was like the first card requested. Must be some Yankees fans out there! Any other cards catch your eye?
Sent you an e-mail about a Berken card I pulled. I am interested in any Franchise History, CYMTO, and that Jon Lester card from UD.
Thanks!
Hi Chris, thanks for tuning in. I would love to get my hands on that Berken card. I replied to you email, hopefully we can swing a trade! What's your favorite team?
How long have you guys (Joe and Chris) been collecting cards? What inspired this blogsite?
Just wanted to comment on the fact you all stole me cards!!! :( Just kidding. Love that Reggie Jackson card. Hot Dog! Um... ya... still waiting for some serious baseball with serious implications. I've been wearing my new era's more and more. Got the cards you sent last week... Pirates history, and the NL Home Run Leaders card. Thought I'd check in... -RJ in SLO
Hi, I was wondering if I could have the Jose Valverde or the Miguel Tejada cards.
Thanks
Hey Jesse! This is Joe. I have been collecting cards since I was a little boy. I remember my favorite Christmas present as a child being a big box (like one of those clothes boxes you get at a Department Store) full of a variety of cards. I should post a pic of one of my birthdays where I have a big grin and I am holding a Jose Canseco Donruss Rookie Card. Wow, what a bust.
What inspired this blog? Well, Chris and I are more baseball fans than hardcore collectors, but we still love busting into packs of cards and couldn't think of a better way to get excited for Opening Day than opening packs and sharing them all with other crazed fans like yourself!
RJ- thanks for returning! Looks like you were a little bit late as all the good cards got snatched up in a hurry. Do you have any plans to catch a game yet?
Hey Anonymous--thanks for tuning in! The Valverde and Tejada cards are yours. Just send me an email at joe@openingdaycards.com with your name and address and I'll send them in the mail.
Hey guys, if they are still available, I would like the Brewers Franchise History and the Pesky's Pole cards. My son Jacob would like the Gary Sheffield and Zack Grienke cards. (If any of these are already gone, he'd be fine with the Doumit or Taveres cards.) Thanks, guys!
Hey Eric and Jacob--we're sending you the Doumit, Taveras, Grienke and Sheffield cards! Thanks for tuning in.
Can I have the brewers franchise history
Hey Grizz- sorry that Brewers Franchise History card was already snatched up by someone else.
