Free Baseball Cards: Opening Day Cards Episode 6

Baseball - Opening Day Cards #6 from chris andrew on Vimeo.

Chris apologizes that this was so late. He has been going through a lot personally, and you have paid the price, which isn't right. He's sorry.

This time we are back in action opening packs of Upper Deck 2010 baseball cards, and again, we are giving them all away for free. Nothing better than FREE BASEBALL CARDS*.

Straight outta Take Me Out to the Ballgame, we dabble in some Cracker Jack in this episode. A delicious caramel corn treat with a prize to open at the end. Mmmm.

*This is a limited time offer. Llimit 2 cards per person, while supplies last

May I have the Josh Thole card. It's pronounced Toll-E by the way:)

What is with the crappy cracker jack prizes. When I was a kid a lot of the stuff I got was actually cool. Now it's always like a cheesy joke or riddle. BTW my offer still stands if you want any 2010 Topps Series 1 cards sent back your way.

I think Upper Deck's card design/player photographs are superior to those of Topps. Its a shame that Upper Deck won't be able to use MLB logos/properties to showcase the players. Maybe Upper Deck will have to resort to non-uniformed player pictures. Remember Leaf's "Studio" baseball cards, early to mid 90's? They were basically studio portraits of players... a very basic but somewhat classy design. They could be headed in that direction.

RPM79, thanks for tuning in. The Toll-e is yours! Thanks for the help. We struggle sometimes. I think Cracker Jack has made the official prize limitation as something that takes up no more space than a stamp. Weak sauce if you ask me.

Jesse, thanks for tuning in. I remember those Studio cards. I actually remember buying a few boxes of those and collecting the whole set. If I can dig them up I will try to show a few in an upcoming episode. I loved that set.

Bennett, thanks for tuning in. Which Tape Measure Shot card do you want? The Kelly Shoppach or the Carlos Pena? Consider the Bonifacio yours!

Do you have any autographed cards or brewers cards? I'm a Brewers fan from Milwaukee and just wondering.
Thanks

Bossman--I am sure I can dig up a Brewers card for you from my stash. We don't have any autographs to give away (and our John Hancocks aren't worth much).

Hey guys! I would like the Matt LaPorta (former Brewer prospect) and the Andy Pettitte cards, if they're still available.

My son Jacob has to have the Mike Rivera card (did you know RIvera hit 5 home runs in his first five at bats in 2008? Awesome.) Jacob would also like Carlos Pena Tape Measure Shot, if it's still available. If it's not, he'd like the Renteria card.

Thanks, guys! Joe, say hello to your dad!

Hi Eric, thanks for tuning in. We'll mail you the LaPorta (Pettite is already taken) and Jacob gets the Rivera and Pena cards. That's pretty sweet that Rivera went 5-5 with 5 HR. Now he's a Yankee. Can he get some time over Jorge Pasada?

Hi Guys could I get the Adam Moore card and the Cliff Lee card if they are still there thanks. PS Go Mariners!!!

Joe and Chris said...

Hi Alex, thanks for tuning in. The Adam Moore and Cliff Lee cards are yours! Is Griffey going to have a decent year in 2010? I hope he gets at least 20 HRs.

Hey, do y'all still have the Michael Young available?

Joe and Chris said...

Hey Travis - Yessir, that Michael Young is yours. We'll mail it out to you this week. Thanks for tuning in!

Hey do you have the Richardson and the Kelly Soppach cards yet

Joe and Chris said...

Hey Mitchell, the Shoppach card is gone, but the Richardson is still available. Send me an email at joe@openingdaycards.com with your address and I'll mail it out to you. Thanks for tuning in!
